Window Systems - Tilt and Turn
Tilt and turn windows are made from 60mm profile system and are particularly suitable for large window sizes. They open into the room and are thus appropriate for ground floor appliations where confined space outside could cause injury to passers-by from outward opening windows. They are also ideal for multi-storey buildings where cleaning is a problem.
Tilt and turn windows are operated by one handle, which provides two opening positions: either the window can be tilted slightly with the hinges acting along the bottom or it can be opened full with the hinges active along the side. Tilting provides draft-free ventilation, while full opening allows easy cleaning and an escape route for emergency.
Glazing is internal, using clip-in beads, which are removable if replacement glass is necessary.
